Course Description

This course develops practical security awareness for employees, supervisors, managers, and department leaders working in leisure, amusement, entertainment, and visitor attraction environments.

The course focuses on the actions employees can take during normal operations to help protect guests, coworkers, facilities, attractions, and the wider organization. It explains how to maintain effective vigilance without creating unnecessary suspicion, how to recognize activity or circumstances that may require attention, how professional guest engagement can support security, and how to report concerns accurately and at the appropriate level of urgency.

The course also addresses access control, restricted areas, suspicious and unattended items, crowded places and mass gatherings, insider threat awareness, emergency preparedness, active assailant awareness, guest support, accessibility, incident command principles, security around amusement rides and attractions, and professional incident reporting.
