$100.00

Courses in this Group

Course Description

This course teaches supervisors, managers, and department heads how to design, draft, validate, approve, implement, control, and improve Standard Operating Procedures, commonly called SOPs. The course focuses on procedures that work in real operating environments, not documents written only for filing or audit purposes. It connects process mapping, risk controls, human factors, stakeholder input, training, competence, document control, auditing, and continual improvement within the leisure, amusement, and visitor attraction sector. By the end of the course, learners should be able to use the included development worksheet, controlled SOP template, and application frameworks to produce a workplace-specific first draft for a defined operational process.

Course Objectives

  • Identify operational processes that require formal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Analyze and map workplace processes to support effective SOP development.
  • Develop clear, practical, and risk-based SOPs for routine, abnormal, and emergency operations.
  • Incorporate input from frontline employees, subject matter experts, and key stakeholders during SOP development.
  • Apply document control practices to review, approve, maintain, and update SOPs.
  • Integrate SOPs with training, auditing, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Evaluate SOP effectiveness in real-world operations to support consistency, safety, and performance.
